Fifty Shades of hmmmmm.

Oh the carnal desires of women being outed around the world through the novel "Fifty Shades of Grey". It is not by any surprise women are reading these books. Women, by any standards, are just as sexual as men with some even more so. GASP!!! Yes, I went there. In reading these books, I can humbly understand the need women have in reading and desperately wanting to finish the series in such a demanding fashion. It is not JUST about sex. It is about wanting to be wanted. Not just sexually, but in a primal, forceful way. About being completely taken care, never having to ask for this, it just being there. It is about exploring a side of sex so taboo we never would have the courage to discuss but secretly find deliciously intriguing. All the closed eye fantasies we could have ever had are fulfilled through out these best/worst books you will ever read. Both men and women should read them. Just, please- don't read them alone. For your own sake.... Just sayin...

blind faith

In our lives, people come and go like the caress of a gentle breeze on the shore of the ocean. Fleeting are the moments in which you have with them, only in hope to capture all of the essence of who they are and hope that they have taken in all of you in same instance. We seldom see what is right in front of us or see the bigger picture until is already gone or to far gone. Why are we moving so fast that we can’t stop to take a breath? Why can we not stop to see the beauty of life, the smell of the salt in the air floating in the sea? The petals flying in the air from the flowers swaying in the breeze from a passing storm? Many of these things would inspire the coldest of hearts to open.

Love

Love. A single, solitary word that has the power to make the strongest of us fall to our knees. Some of us will never see it, and others see it but it is so far away that it is just a fleeting hope in a small, flickering future. It can last years or it can last moments. Love can go away and come back with a vengeance when we least expect it, leaving us lost and confused in the place we had gotten to. It makes the phone an impossible thing to put down and mind unable to stop images of what could or has been. Love is the strongest drug around, and it is impossible not to take, crave, or need. It can make you cry, laugh, sing, hurt, and smile all at the same time or all in a life time. Love is sweet, excruciating ly joyful pain that is blissful and intolerable all in the same, slow motion. For some, it is in the experience of it, for others it is watching it from afar.

Look, Listen, Read, and VOTE!

Phone calls, emails, television ads. MAKE THE INSATNITY STOP (to coin a phrase from Susan Powder). Tomorrow is Election Day folks, and I am sorry to have to say this, but a majority of our voters are doing so only on the basis of what they have seen on the television, what they have heard on the phone, or read in an on-line poll. Read America; call your congressman/woman! Demand to know exactly where they stand, not why they think we should not vote for the other one. Listen to what THEY think, not what was written in a press release? Do your homework! Do not just vote a certain way because your parents are, or that the neighbor said it would be a good idea. Demand a difference, demand knowledge, demand our country to be led in the direction that WE want it to go. We the People need to stand up and take it all back. Both parties need to stop and listen to what our country is telling us. We need to be a UNITED STATES, not a one nation Divided.

Why do women become retarded when it comes to men? Really, it is a question that has been burning inside of me for so long. Women seriously lose all mental capacity when it comes to the opposite sex, it is like a giant vacuum as been attached to our brains and sucks and sucks until we have no more thoughts other than about them? I have always been amazed at that, how females can just forget their lives and get so focused on the opposite sex that they forget who they are, what THEY want, and stop trying to attain it. Women- Listen to me. Put the phone down and walk away. The guy will call if he wants to, and if he doesn’t’ why do you care? For every guy that acts like a schumuck, there are 2 that won’t. Do NOT, I repeat DO NOT, cancel plans because he MIGHT be able to do something. Go where you want, if he really wants to be with you, he will find a way to do it. Do NOT suffocate the poor man; if they can’t breathe they won’t stay. This means a man wants man time, do not intrude on that. Besides, is it not more fun to have girls’ night and be able to get those free shots? You know full well that won’t happen with a man sitting next to you. This goes for married women, single women, all women. Men are men, they will act how they want when they want, the more you push, the more they walk away. If the man really wants you, he will tell you. Heck, they may even find they can’t live without you, but DO not by any means stop living because of them. You can be without a man for five minutes. Trust me, it is possible!
